Job Description

Impulse Racing are looking for a seasonal time Race Coach and Instructor  to join our resort team working with our regular schools race teams and programmes and at various events.
The successful candidate will also help support and drive the business forward across several aspects.

Qualifications required:
Minimum (or equivalent) BASI/IASI/CASI Level 2 teaching, combined with UKCP Level 1 licensed, and with proven coaching and/or competition experience, ideally working on dry slope, indoor snow and the mountains. We are also looking for a willingness and drive to take further qualifications.

Further Information:
Your principal responsibility is to Coach the Impulse schools and customers in accordance with our agreed training systems and procedures. There are a number of weeks where you will teach with one of our partners organisations.

Other responsibilities
– Ensuring that prior to each training session, you are well prepared: you should know your clients, their backgrounds and whether there are any issues that may have arisen during previous sessions that you should be aware of.
– Where there are opportunities to encourage clients to share their positive experiences with others, whether verbally or through social media, you should endeavour to achieve this.
– Developing and assisting with new ideas and initiatives
– Working with the business owners to devise ways of promoting and marketing the business in keeping with the general mission of Impulse Racing
– Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
– Ensuring your delivery of the highest standard of customer service at all times
– Ensuring that your professional qualifications are up to date where necessary

For this role, it would be desirable if you have experience of Snowsports/sports development at grassroots level and have a sound knowledge, appreciation and understanding of sport as well as experience of dealing with the education sector, voluntary sport sector and/or local authorities.

You will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills. Equally you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for the development of snowsports for young people.

You will need to be passionate about and committed to snowsports coaching from grass roots level.

Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative.

Excellent communication, presentation and IT skills will be expected. Applicants must be able/willing to work unsocial hours.

This post will be based within in Aosta, with Pila the main resort.

Impulse Racing have been running race camps and training in the UK and the alps for over 10 years.

Salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience plus incentive scheme to enhance basic salary. Travel, accommodation, lift pass will all be included.
