Glencoe Ski Club

Founded in 1961 Glencoe Ski Club offer junior training at weekends on Scottish snow.

Our “all mountain” junior training programme is very much shaped and inspired by the environment we operate in. At Glencoe skiers often need to adapt to the rugged terrain and prevalent weather! Our aim is to develop young skiers into lifelong enthusiasts who will passionately continue skiing into their adult years.

We run some race-training : however, the emphasis will primarily be on the “training” aspect rather than the “racing” itself.   We focus on learning how to ski all types of snow and terrain. Learning to go fast and turn where the gates (… or heather!) dictate is fantastic training for technique. Skiing with GSC is primarily about fun, whatever the weather might bring!

We would love to hear from any instructors & coaches who would like to get involved with one of the most active ski clubs in Scotland.  We have a lob cabin on the mountain and ~30 kids training (age 5-18) every weekend.  Training is scheduled to start mid-January (snow and weather permitting) and should run until end of April.

For the right candidate we offer :

– good rate of pay (£50-100 per day depending on qualifications).
– travel expense at 15p per mile.
– coaches season pass.
– possibility of subsidised local accommodation if required.

Interested ?  Please email training@glencoeskiclub.org with short CV of experience and we can take it from there 🙂
